ABOUT US
Chevler is a new manufacturing company, formed in 2009 following the acquisition of assets relating to the former paper activities of Chevler Packaging. The site, machinery and workforce have been retained, bringing decades of experience and know-how to the new business.
The operation has benefited from sustained investment in recent years, with ten major items of plant and additional premises taken on. This investment programme is ongoing, with further new acquisitions planned for 2009.
Chevler operates in two distinct sectors, Baking Cases and Meat Saver Paper.
Baking Cases
As the UK’s leading manufacturer of baking cases, the Chevler name has become synonymous with quality and innovation. We understand the exacting demands of automatic paper case dispensers, and our experience in this field is second to none. As the originators of new and innovative designs such as the brimmed muffin cup and tulip case/muffin wrap, we ensure that our customers remain at the very forefront of developments.
Our greatest strength is our in-house capability. From mill reel to finished product, printed or plain, all manufacturing activities are carried out within our two adjacent facilities. We are unique in the UK in that all of our printing and converting is conducted in-house. We do not rely on stock shipped from abroad, nor do we depend on outside printers and converters.
Experience has taught us that paper quality is key to the performance of a baking case. Our greaseproof paper, sourced only from Scandinavia, offers a natural barrier that cannot be matched by the chemically treated artificial ‘greaseproof’ paper commonly used by our competitors. We source direct from mills, and benefit from pricing befitting of our position as one of Europe’s largest converters of greaseproof baking cup paper.
With over 500 sizes of crimped and special baking cases in our range, and machines to accommodate low, medium and high volume production, there are few baking case requirements that we are not already equipped to meet. For those that we are not, we have a successful track record of developing completely new tooling and machinery, from concept to fruition.
Meat-Saver Paper ®
Chevler is the only converter of genuine Meat-Saver Paper ®, the premium European peach paper brand. We offer cut to size sheets and discs in Peach, Green, White and Black. Trials have consistently shown that our peach paper is the best performing on the market, minimising waste to save you money.
